Summer is already here, but it’s never too late to get that bikini body, even when you’re at the beach. This change of scenery can enhance workouts while also being fun. Here are some sand workouts you can do at the beach – in your bikini!
Baywatch Run: Start off with a little cardio to get your heart rate up. Running on sand is a great way to get some resistance – you’ll definitely feel the burn. For an extra challenge, try running in knee-high water. Just watch out for seaweed!
Driftwood Planks: For a full body toning session, get into plank position, making sure that you hands are aligned under your shoulders. Keep your body stiff and straight, like a piece of driftwood. Hold for as long as you can, with the goal of 1 minute.
Crab Walk: Just the name of this exercise seems like the most appropriate workout for the sand. To start this bodyweight exercise, begin by sitting down and placing your arms behind you straight under your shoulders. To engage your muscles, lift your hips off the ground and start to slowly walk yourself backwards. Continue for desired amount of time – shooting for 1-2 minutes.
Mermaid Sit-ups: The next exercise makes you feel like a mermaid – which is perfect for beach days. To set up this pose, lie flat on your back, and cross your feet (fins). To begin this exercise, engage your core while lifting your legs into the air. Repeat for 15 times per rep for optimum results!
Starfish: This one is probably the best one yet. Cool down after your beach workout by lying on towel with your limbs spread out. Then, convince someone to bring you a piña colada.
