One December morning, a group of people got on a highway and headed east, far far away from LA. The sun wasn’t up, but the day had started.
This wasn’t just any group of people. If superheroes came in the forms of photographers, stylists and models, then we had a group of superheroes ready to take on the day. It was a dream team, making it a dream shoot… Alessandra said so herself.
At the helm was Larry Lobaugh. Shooting the campaign was tatted up James Macari (who hasn’t seen the 50th Anniversary Sports Illustrated cover he shot). Those cool videos Alessandra has been posting, courtesy of Jerome Duran. Hair and makeup team, Frankie Foye and Christy Coleman—we’ll tell you how to get the look in next week’s post…stay tuned. And Inge Fonteyne came up with the utlra-cool styling (who need’s shoes when you can use leather straps!?).
The thing about this team…they work hard, but after years of collaborating, they also know how to make workday super fun.
Dresses, tops, skirts, wraps and ponchos ready for the styling.

Frankie braiding Alessandra’s hair…a look you’ll want to steal.
From styling to photography, Alessandra was hands on throughout the process.
Lighting is important, makeup is important, the clothes are important…but the essential ingredient to a killer shoot. The playlist. It’s what keeps you going as you hit hour 10 of an interminable day. Aside from being an incredible photographer and videographer, Jerome is also a music aficionado. If you asked him, he would respond, “I have the best playlist.” On rotation, Neil Young’s Old Man, Infinita Highway by Brazil’s own Engenheiros Do Hawaii, Arctic Monkeys’ Do you Wanna Know?, Pearl Jam’ Jeremy and Love is a Battlefield by Pat Benatar. Amongst Alessandra’s personal musical requests, Joy Division’s Shadowplay and Mazy Star’s She’s My Baby.
Alessandra drove this car, on loan from a friend, for the shoot. (See Alessandra driving here.)
James showing off his balancing skills…luckily Larry is on hand to help.
While James prepared for the next shot, Jerome took video for his newest Alessandra video (you can see a teaser here).
“Oh ya! That’s I’m talking about!” yelled Alessandra when L.A. Woman by The Doors started playing.
Ladies, this spring, it’s all about the braids and leather. It’s the ultimate Coachella look.
Coconut water, fruits and green pea & lentil snaps kept this group fueled for the day. An assortment of sandwiches were served at lunch. And in case you were wondering, yes, Alessandra ate a sandwich.
Christy and Alessandra have worked together since her early Victoria’s Secret days.
“Shoe?” Inge asked herself. Already off the beaten path, she decided, “No shoe.”
The gals. Instagramming!

“Focus people! Focus!” cried out Larry as the sun set. But even he couldn’t resist the infectious laughter of the group.
Joining the dream team of fashion superheroes was an amazing set design team that created dreamy teepees from sticks and netting–a secluded oasis becoming the perfect backdrop for one of Alessandra’s last shots of the day.
That’s a wrap!
