Can you believe that 2016 is practically here? It feels like we rang in 2015 just yesterday, but the new year is approaching and will be here in the blink of an eye. 2015 was a great year for our Victoria’s Secret angel, Alessandra Ambrosio, with numerous photo shoots, stellar vacations, and an incredible Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to wrap it all up! Celebrating the new year is a bittersweet feeling: We are sad because we realize how quickly this past year flew by, but we are also excited to see what 2016 has in store for us.
With such an amazing year in the books, 2016 has a lot to live up to, but one of Ale’s favorite things about the new year is that she will get a completely fresh start with new travels, adventures, and fashion trends to look forward to. - High-Waist Pants
We’re taking it back to the 1970s with this trend! Pair high-waisted pants with a cute crop top to show off some skin, or tuck one of your favorite tops into the pants for a stylish look.
- Stripes
According to Alessandra, stripes are going to be a hot print in 2016! From casual pants to wrap dresses, you can never go wrong with stripes of all sizes and colors. “I often borrow my husband’s shirts,” Ale tells Glamour. “Ready for a twist on the classic oxford? Go for an oversize one, and button it up the back.”

We all love long, luscious locks, but this new year, lobs are taking over. Just recently, Ale said “Bye-bye” to her long mane and “Hello” to a new short hairdo! “It’s sexy, it’s rock ‘n’ roll, and it’s definitely a haircut for someone who has had longer beach waves for a long time,” says Alessandra’s hairstylist, Frankie Foye. So, it must be true — people with short hair have more fun!
- Balmain
Balmain is luxurious, stylish, and one of Alessandra’s favorite brands. 2015 brought us an incredible H&M and Balmain collaboration collection, so Ale has a feeling that 2016 is going an even more exciting year of Balmain!
