Ah, it’s our favorite time of the year, the long awaited Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. This year, 51 angels took over Paris and rocked the runway at Grand Palais with a total of 82 looks! The sexiest night on television is known for delicate and sexy lingerie, intricate and glamorous wings, sky high heels and fun ensembles. With such a wide collective of gorgeous models from all around the globe, the glam experts opted for natural hair and makeup for the show to highlight true beauty.
From prep to after party, Ale nails it from head to toe. Check out how Alessandra prepped for the ultimate event of the year and why we’re inspired to keep in natural this holiday season!
Before the big day, Alessandra made sure to eat healthy and exercise. This year, she trained with Tracy Anderson. “There’s a lot of dance moves, a lot of lifting ankle weights, working out the butt, and a lot of cardio, and I love it. I’m so into her, I go to the studio and sometimes I spend an hour and a half to two hours there.”
Hydration is key. “When you are dehydrated, you see it on your face and when you’ve had your share of water, it glows. Nothing is better for your skin than drinking a lot of water and green juices. I also love fresh coconut water.”
And don’t forget about your skin! “I try to keep my skin very hydrated with lots of moisturizers and face serums. I also always wear SPF to prevent wrinkles.”

“I wanted the girls to have wings!” MUA Tom Pecheux told Teen Vogue. “Victoria’s Secret is bringing angel wings for the girls, so I wanted to do my own version!” As a result, each of the models ended up with flawless, winged eyeliner that subtly referenced their signature accessories. Instead of opting for classic black, Tom chose to mix things up with some color play. “I do a grey liquid liner, and on top of it I’m putting a bronze that I smudge a little bit,” he explained. “I want it to still feel like sexy, bronzy glamour.”
Final touches included highlight, contour, and blush placement with a “transparent” finish to show the dewiness of the skin. He also added dramatic mascara and gloss to amp up the drama, dubbing the result “glowy, French chic.”
“Of course, it’s TV,” he adds. “So, it’s a little more than you’d likely see everyday.” Personally, we’re totally down to try this one IRL. Call it your ultimate holiday party inspiration this year!”

Time for cascading waves! Angels use the Beach Waver to achieve soft curls. The tip is to always curl the sections at the front away from the face for the super natural, no effort waves favored by the Angels.

Celebrity manicurist Elle partnered with Red Carpet Manicure and the Victoria’s Secret team to craft a custom look for the PINK Nation section of the show. “We’re doing a little bit of nail art, encrusted Swarovski crystals with a crushed crystal in between,” Elle told POPSUGAR backstage before the show. “A manicure is the ultimate accessory. I think of it like jewelry. Gel embellishment is a hot trend right now.” She added, “[The Red Carpet Manicure team] and I decided to collaborate with Swarovski — because they are such a large part of the show — and embellish the nails with genuine Swarovski crystals, a multifaceted cut of crystal that sparkles like no other.”
As for the women not walking as part of PINK Nation, they wore a “Parisian manicure” using a delicate light pink that made all the models’ fingers look long and elegant.
To finish your look, add a little spritz of perfume and you’re good to go! All new Paris Perfume inspired by the show.
For the after party at Grand Palais in Paris, Ale went with a smoldering, radiant look by MUA Carolina Gonzalez, top knot by Danielle Priano (easy how-to HERE), wearing Alessandra Rich deep-V lace dress with Gianvito Rossi black satin pumps, Jimmy Choo clutch, Shay Jewelry rings, and beautiful diamond studs from Djula Jewelry, styled by Jennifer Mazur.
